I prefer coffee pots-
savor every drip and drop,
watching the faithful fill.
You value immediacy,
exerting the force
pressed coffee needs
to gurgle
dark and frothy.
Silently, we sip
from swirling,
disparate mugs.
Your mind, on the day ahead.
Mine, on grounds of love.
